For this skill and ability building ride, riders new to group riding are encouraged to start attending this ride early in the season, which typically begins in late March or early April.

During April and May we "Ramp-up" to better group riding skills. In June and beyond, there is more riding and less instruction.

As the season proceeds, riders become more skilled and the pace often picks up a little in each group. If you want to join this ride later in the season, it‘s a good idea to contact the ride leader - we can try to hook you up with a group-ride buddy to get you caught up.

Please read the detailed description if you are not familiar with this ride.

Let‘s ride to Semiahmoo for lunch! Meet at Cordata Park at 10 am. We ride through Ferndale if anyone wants to start there. Just let me know ahead of time. No drop ride. https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46027326 Other info: My style is to have fun together and get everyone back to the start safely. Challenges on this ride to know about include; some steep climbs, 1 mile of rough road, sharing the road with cars, sharing a multi-use trail with pedestrians including dog walkers. Bring a bike lock for security during lunch. I do plan numerous breaks with restrooms and water available. I like to chat while riding and focus when faced with challenges. I ask for your emergency contact info at the start of the ride to ensure I have that info if an emergency were to occur.
