I am repeating the Bike Camping trip I did last year with MBBC/COGS. There are 6 openings for each club. This is a very good local trip for 2 nights of camping and 3 days of riding ~40 miles/day. This is a good starter trip if you have never done bike camping before. ACA (Adventure Cycling Association) is a great resource for what to pack and bring. This will be tent camping in primitive sites with showers at each campground. Bring food for breakfasts/dinners for Saturday and Sunday morning and Friday and Saturday night. We will stop for lunch along the way on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday we can finish with a meal in Fairhaven. Please contact the ride leader for further questions. TEMPO: A (10-12 mph) We will be loaded with gear for the weekend. There will be regrouping along the way as tempo may vary between individual riders.
TOPOGRAPHY: A This is a fairly flat ride with occasional hills. See elevation profiles in RWGPS.
TRAFFIC: A-C We will be on fairly busy roads on occasion such as Chuckanut Drive but also gravel trails with no vehicle traffic. The routes try to take quieter roads but also go through the towns of Anacortes, Burlington and Sedro-Woolley.
TERRAIN: C Varies between paved roads and gravel trails. Suggest minimum tire width of 35mm for a comfortable ride in all conditions.
