A moderate paced (14-16mpg average )ride in the North County to escape all that traffic from the I-5 mess.
Bring a reliable bike, helmet and repair kit / pump so you can respond to flats and common mechanical stuff.
About 36 miles and 1000 feet of climbing. Lots of pleasant coastal views on this ride. The route shows a tiny bit of gravel but we can avoid this and any road bike will fit the bill.
There are a couple of longish 6% climbs with a brief 10% ramp.
Meet at the beach parking across from the Beachcat Brewing Company on Birch Bay Drive.
Meet at 11:45AM. Roll at noon.
A food truck will be there at the end of the ride.
