Meet in front of Trek Store
Sat, Mar 14, 2026 at 7:00 AM
Saturday Donut Ride: appx 50 miles, average pace 17+ mph over route with segments running 19+. Three sprints with regroup. NOT A CLUB RIDE - and this is a DROP RIDE (though we generally try to hold the group together).
Bellingham cycling culture encourages mentorship, courtesy and safety! Make these a priority on this ride.
Departs from Trek Bellingham, 7:30 am October through February, and 7 am March through September. Goes to Birch Bay and back. This ride has been a Bellingham tradition forever. Every week of the year!!
Local lore has it that this ride used to actually include eating donuts, but the donut shop closed. Better bring your own donut in your jersey.
Meet in front of Fairhaven Bikes
Sun, Mar 15, 2026 at 8:00 AM
32-mile route down Chuckanut Drive and back via Lake Samish.
The Rabbit Ride departs from in front of Fairhaven Bikes at 1108 11th St, Bellingham. Important: Fairhaven Bikes does not organize the ride, nor do they information about it. It‘s just the rally point for the start of the ride.
The Rabbit Ride has been going on every Sunday since 2011. Start time 8 a.m. during daylight savings time - roughly March through October - and at 8:30 a.m. during standard time. Riders who ride slower than 16 mph should be ready to ride right on time.
Small groups of similarly-paced riders begin leaving at the start time, with faster groups departing every 5 minutes thereafter.
When a faster group passes yours, you have the opportunity to try to jump on a wheel and hang on, or stay with your group. This is intended to be a fitness ride and you’re encouraged to push yourself.
Like the Hot Laps and the Donut Ride, these are self-organized (or disorganized) rides that are managed by the people that show up to ride.
Try to bring friends or encourage them to show up. Sometimes it might be two people, especially if the weather is bad. When the weather is good, it could be dozens.
Parking lot next to Depot Market, across from Boundary Bay Brewery.
Wed, Mar 18, 2026 at 6:00 PM
The Wednesday Night Ride - on winter schedule: brisk trail ride WITH LIGHTS. Bring cyclocross or trail-ready bike! Appx. 90 minute ride.

For this skill and ability building ride, riders new to group riding are encouraged to start attending this ride early in the season, which typically begins in late March or early April.
During April and May we "Ramp-up" to better group riding skills. In June and beyond, there is more riding and less instruction.
As the season proceeds, riders become more skilled and the pace often picks up a little in each group. If you want to join this ride later in the season, it‘s a good idea to contact the ride leader - we can try to hook you up with a group-ride buddy to get you caught up.
Please read the detailed description if you are not familiar with this ride.

I am repeating the Bike Camping trip I did last year with MBBC/COGS. There are 6 openings for each club. This is a very good local trip for 2 nights of camping and 3 days of riding ~40 miles/day. Please view the event and routes on MBBC‘s RWGPS account: https://ridewithgps.com/events/454754-mbbc-cogs-bike-camping?privacy_code=vPAGoWAW6hxshxbPIhpJHXhOGVeziDKP. This is a good starter trip if you have never done bike camping before. ACA (Adventure Cycling Association) is a great resource for what to pack and bring. This will be tent camping in primitive sites with showers at each campground. Bring food for breakfasts/dinners for Saturday and Sunday morning and Friday and Saturday night. We will stop for lunch along the way on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday we can finish with a meal in Fairhaven. Please contact the ride leader for further questions. There will be further updates as we get closer to the trip date.
TEMPO: A (10-12 mph) We will be loaded with gear for the weekend. There will be regrouping along the way as tempo may vary between individual riders.
TOPOGRAPHY: A This is a fairly flat ride with occasional hills. See elevation profiles in RWGPS.
TRAFFIC: A-C We will be on fairly busy roads on occasion such as Chuckanut Drive but also gravel trails with no vehicle traffic. The routes try to take quieter roads but also go through the towns of Anacortes, Burlington and Sedro-Woolley.
TERRAIN: C Varies between paved roads and gravel trails. Suggest minimum tire width of 35mm for a comfortable ride in all conditions.
This event is open to members only.

Sun, Jun 7, 2026 at 8:00 AM

2 Ride Leaders, Ciaran Roe and Peter Krippner, will be leading 6 days of rides in the Penticton area. This will be a flexible tour where you choose which days you want to ride or rest. You make your own lodging arrangement in Penticton and show up for the routes you want to do. Since these rides are in Canada they are not covered by MBBC insurance. There is an event listing on the RWGPS club account that contains all the routes at this link: https://ridewithgps.com/events/456321-penticton-hub-n-spoke?privacy_code=mkO51nBtGbseAjJ8cUOJyzJ1ne7ejKLw
The routes are a combination of road and gravel cycling. Review the routes to determine the best type of bike(s) to bring.
Tempo: On gravel A-B (10-12/13-16) depending on conditions; on pavement C (14-18) some rides will have 2 ride leaders to accomodate different paces.
Topography: between B-C. Most rides have a good amount of elevation gain.
Traffic: is mostly unknown. We are using routes from local clubs or events. Some have portions on highways. Gravel rides should have minimal traffic.
Terrain: for gravel rides C. For road rides B.
Further details will be provided to registered participants as it gets closer to that date. Please contact the event organizers or ride leaders if you have any questions or need more information.

As the season proceeds, riders become more skilled and the pace often picks up a little in each group. If you want to join this ride later in the season, it‘s a good idea to contact the ride leader - we can try to hook you up with a group-ride buddy to get you caught up.

Meet in front of Fairhaven Bikes
Sun, Jul 26, 2026 at 8:00 AM
