For this skill and ability building ride, riders new to group riding are encouraged to start attending this ride early in the season, which typically begins in late March or early April.
During April and May we "Ramp-up" to better group riding skills. In June and beyond, there is more riding and less instruction.
As the season proceeds, riders become more skilled and the pace often picks up a little in each group. If you want to join this ride later in the season, it‘s a good idea to contact the ride leader - we can try to hook you up with a group-ride buddy to get you caught up.
Please read the detailed description if you are not familiar with this ride.
Join us each Thursday through September for a casual group ride. We‘ll meet up across from the Granary Building at the waterfront and take a 90-minute, 20 mile ride with 1000 feet plus or minus of elevation over the ride. See the town with a new route each week. 14-16 mph average on the flat. Climb at your own place on longer hills with a regroup at the top. The route for Thursday May 2 rolls through Fairhaven, Civic Stadium & Roosevelt neighborhoods, Cornwall & Squalicum Creek Parks, Birchwood, & Roeder Ave back to Trackside. Here is the Ride With GPS link for May 2, 2024:
